My Coaches ROCK!

I have some pretty awesome tri-coaches!  Not only do they understand that this is a pretty stressful time in my life with my move and some other things that are happening in my life but they are willing to work with me on it.  About 2 weeks ago I had to drop out of the Amica 70.3 Rhode Island Ironman due to injury and other reasons.  But they are completely understanding and they can understand what I'm currently going through.  If you are looking for an outstanding running, triathlon, swimming or just want to get into shape.  Coaches Jeff, Diane, and Kristine can most definitely help you out.  Check out PRS Fit and start on your training adventure.

Realizations in the New Year

It was a harsh realization that was bestowed upon me this New Year.  I bit off more than I could chew, and I didn't want to admit it or let those who were supporting me down.   But I had to back out of the 70.3 Ironman in Providence.  Trust you me this was not an easy decision.  I have been battling injuries, an international move, lost my motivation along the way, and some other personal issues that pulling out was what way to go.  The one of the hardest parts was telling my husband and coach about it.  It was like admitting defeat, like I failed everyone around me.  I mean this was THE race, my 'A' race of the season.  This was the race that was going to prove that to everyone I had the will and determination to do anything and if I could do it so could they.  And here I was throwing in the towel 7 months out from the race.  I guess in a way it kind of good I realize that my current situation now before I started my HIM and ended up with a DNF.  I just wish I would have realized it before I put out the money for it.  Talk about lessons learned.

Now my goals are starting to come into order, proper order, for the new year.

Goal #1
Lose some weight.  The biggest thing that is holding me down and back from achieving many of my goals is the amount of excess weight I'm carrying.

Goal #2
Learn master triathlon in the proper order, sprint, oly, international, HIM....quit trying to jump straight to the top.

Goal #3
I really need to stay on top of my workouts.  I have to quit saying it just do it.

Goal #4
Learn to run, I honestly think is one of my biggest obstacles.  I have quit doubting myself when I start running and remember this is long distance run and NOT a sprint like I ran in high school.

Now yes,  I realize just a few posts ago I put my goals down, but like I said I had almost a b*tch slap about the HIM and my injury.  I seriously think these 4 goals are going to be my life and how I live it.    Thank you for listening, well reading <3

Happy New Year

Well its the New Year, a clean slate, time to start fresh and that is what I plan on doing.  This year is going to be one of the best years of my lives.  My new years list is as follows:

1. Go back to school
2. Log all of my workouts
3. Be happy with my body I currently have
4. Eat healthier
5. Master the sport of triathlon
6. Play with my kids more
7. Keep a better home
8. Be a better wife
9. Save more money
10. Read more

I am going to my best to keep each of these, and doing my best is all I can do.  I have a good support network to make sure I can achieve my goals and not fail.  2011 is going to be a good year and I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure I do it right this year and not let another year go by.

Last night we had a family bowling night to ring in the New Year.  It was a blast, the kids were a little crazy at the beginning but settled down as the night went on.  It was one of the best New Years Eve's we've had as a family.  We've had some good ones before but this was special.  Usually we go to party, where kids are allowed, and the kids all play together and the adults hang out, drink and talk.  But this year it was all about family and that is what made it special.

Today we took the kids to the water park.  We had not been to the water park in quite sometime and it was just a great time time.  We rode the water slides, transverse a lot of stairs, the boys rode the wave rider, we relaxed on the lazy river and enjoyed  lunch pool side.  It was a great way to start the new year.

All-in-all it has been a great to start 2011.  I can't wait to see what adventures await me in 2011.

HAPPY NEW YEARS!
